Because You're Young
Bushes & Briars
I love Sandy Denny (1947-1978). Things about Sandy Denny that I love:
1. Her voice is beautiful. Try
Tam Lin or
Late November or
After Halloween or
Who Knows Where the Time Goes (which she wrote when she was only 19).
2. She sang on
The Battle of Evermore with Led Zep, a song which rules the schools (
all the schools). She was the only guest singer the band ever had.
3. She was a member of the most excellent folk outfit Fairport Convention.
4. Please, she's a total fox.
5. She had her flaws and insecurities, but she was a madly talented and beautiful person. She was only 31 when she died, and she left behind a pretty incredible body of work. R.I.P. Sandy.

Pink Floyd Part the Millionth Because We All Need More of the Floyd in Our Lives and I Am Listening to the Entirety of the Tree Full of Secrets Collection and it is Wicked and Also a Bit Intense But I Shall Struggle On in My Hopes of Becoming New Zealand's Next Top...WomanCurrent Favourite Pink Floyd/Pinky Floy/PiFlo songs:
1.
Green is the Colour (live BBC version from 1969 is TO DIE FOR)- best love song of all time?!?!
2.
Childhood's End (from the Obscured by Clouds album)- oh Davey!
3.
Dogs (from Animals)- just try not singing along to "got to admit/that I'm a little bit confused/sometimes it seems to me/as if I'm just being used".
4.
Cymbaline (from More) - creepy, beautiful.
5.
Remember a Day (from Saucerful of Secrets) - Rick once again demonstrating his awesomeness.
6.
Young Lust (from The Wall)- am trying to convince myself that I too am a "rock 'n' roll refugee" and thus in need of some kind of dirty woman/girl
7.
Fearless (from Meddle) - sort of reminiscent of Led Zep, sort of AMAZING
8.
A Pillow of Winds (from Meddle) - another unusually romantic song from the gents
9.
Free Four (from Obscured by Clouds) - so catchy and yet so depressing! MY FAVOURITE COMBINATION.
10.
Vera(from The Wall) - I remember Vera Lynn. I bought a Vera album from an op shop just because of this song, shocking the elderly proprietors. I listen to her, watch Quadrophenia, and then make detailed plans of how I'm going to get myself to the White Cliffs of Dover someday (if only to yell "BELLBOOOOY!!!").
Now for some pictures! In absolutely no order!
